A43 Northbound Overnight Closure - Barley Mow Roundabout to Oxford Road Roundabout
The A43 Northbound between the Barley Mow Roundabout and Oxford Road Roundabout will be closed overnight between 4 November 2024 and mid-January 2025. The work will take place from 8 pm to 6 am.
The upcoming work will include resurfacing the Northbound carriageway, replacing road markings and studs, renewing kerbs, drainage, clearing vegetation and tree crown lifting in the central reservation, and general landscape maintenance on Evenley roundabout island.
This northbound closure includes closure of the northbound circulatory part of Evenley roundabout which closes the access to/from Charlton Road. During A43 Northbound closure the A43/Charlton Road will be closed with a local diversion in place, advanced signs will be in place at Charlton junction and will divert Farthinghoe Road to A422.
Please note that the Southbound carriageway will close for approximately 2 nights. This includes the closure of the southbound circulatory part of Evenley roundabout which closes the access to/from Broad Lane. The exact dates of these 2 southbound closures will be confirmed once they have been scheduled into the programme.
Access to businesses and residences is maintained wherever possible with direct access on the A43.
